Marvel UK was an imprint of Marvel Comics formed specifically to cater for the British comic market. Formed in 1972, Marvel UK focused mainly on reprinting U.S. Marvel comics for U.K. The imprint started by publishing mostly black and white reprints of "The Hulk", "Spider-Man" and "Fantastic Four". Following their success, Marvel UK expanded its production to publish a number of different titles, eventually establishing itself as a major publisher of weekly comic titles in the U.K. After a successful run lasting many years, Marvel decided to close the U.K. arm in 1995.
